A career-long commitment to succession planning and the insurance industry give Ted Polci the experience and credentials vital to advise some of Canada's most successful family business owners.

Ted has served as chair of Advocis Canada – the 15,000-member professional association of insurance and financial advisors. He is a charter member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting and is currently on the Executive Committee of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Toronto Branch.

Ted has spoken to the Canadian Bar Association, CICA (Continuing Education), Canadian Tax Foundation, Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU), to many insurance industry educational sessions. Currently, he is a contributing author on “Insurance” for the “Advising the Family-Owned Business” publication by Canada Law Book.

Typically, clients are people who have reached a stage of their lives where they are focused on structuring their succession plan to minimize the risks and tax costs of business transition.  Some want to retire without damaging the business and may need a plan to keep key people in place to run the business until the next generation is ready to take the reins of the family business.
